replacement fuel lines

Time to replace the fuel lines from the rail over the headers.
Has anybody used the Rennbay lines? Opinions?

I sent travis a e-mail awhile back asking what the difference was between the two. The deluxe Kit is basically the lindsey kit, but uses rubber hoses instead of stainless steel.
The basic is the rubber hose, but you instal them where the originals were, so you don't have cut your hard fuel lines like the lindsey or deluxe sets. plus the basic comes in blue.
I have the blue ones, but haven't installed them yet.

Thanks Levi,
I'm leaning towards the basic set. I don't really trust compression fittings on the fuel system. Prefer the flare nut instead!.

I used the braided lines from Lindsey Racing - and they have the insulation as well - love them. They have worked well for me (had them installed for over a year). Hardest part is getting the damn plastic piece out of the inside of the wheel well...

Here's Lindsey's write up on their lines: FUEL LINES at LINDSEY RACING - Your Porsche Performance Parts Center

lucky bastards with late cars, LOL

FYI, I talked to Dave about a week ago and he said that there will be a EARLY fuel line kit coming in next few weeks

but I'm going to do my lines as well, and I might go with a Rennbay kit - these guys are awesome, I've never had a bad deal with them!

i have the rennbay deluxe kit on my early N/A, works great and the compression fittings aren't anything to worry about there isn't that much pressure going through the fuel lines.

John,
Thanks for the links. Bruce did a nice writeup.
I was leaning towards the ss braided lines. Somewhere, I was reading about heat being an issue with the braided lines making them less desirable than the insulated rubber like the original lines

I offer a Fuel Hose Fix as below...........

With this you cut & flare the fuel tube in behind the Rt Front shock abs.

Shown with a Mini Tube Cutter where you must cut the original tube. You then slide the Metric flare nut (provided) over the tube, flare it & connect the hose.

Takes about an hour to do the job.

This is also available in Metric Braided Zinc or Braided SS.

Please, no PMs. My box is always full.

email me for info.
