This Sunday 6/13/10 Chicago Area Parade/Cruise with Police escort
Just a FYI in case anyone in the Chicago Area is interested.
WHO: All PORSCHE owners. PCA membership is not required. WHAT: Charity Car Show and “Parade of Porsches” to support: WHEN: Sunday June 13, 2010 Pre-Registration suggested. WHERE: Parade of Porsches starts from Shirey Cadillac, 10825 S. Central Ave. Oak Lawn. Parade concludes at Hope Children’s Hospital, 4440 W. 95th Street, Oak Lawn. PORSCHE only car show at Hope Children’s Hospital will follow. WHY: To support Hope Children’s Hospital and assemble a wonderful collection of PORSCHE street cars, race cars, SUVs’, tractors and bicycles. Parade cars need not be street legal. Race cars without plates are welcome. ENTRY FEE: $25.00 per car. All proceeds to Hope Children’s Hospital. Additional donations are welcome. DETAILS: 10:00 am to 11:45 am Registration and staging for “Parade of Porsches” begins at Shirey Cadillac, 10825 South Central, Oak Lawn, IL. 12:00 noon Police escorted “Parade of Porsches” to Hope Children’s Hospital begins. 1:00 pm Porsche car show begins. Open to patients, visitors and spectators. Any ambulatory children from the hospital will be invited to sit in our cars and have their pictures taken. A non-competitive (no judging) car show follows and will allow Porsche owners to socialize in a relaxed and pleasant environment. The only award to be presented will be a “People’s Choice Award” based on voting by spectators. 1:30 pm PCNA/PCA gifts delivered to Hope patients. 3:00 pm Car show concludes. The City of Oak Lawn and Hope Children’s Hospital want to make this the largest collection of Porsche's ever in the Metropolitan area. Be there for this event. TV & Radio will be there along with local automotive writers. Photos and video will be for shot for Panorama, Excellence and the 356 Registry magazines. Our friends from Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and Porsche AG will be invited guests. And it all benefits children in need of our help. QUESTIONS or to PRE-REGISTER (Suggested): John W. Sounds cool but I have taken up sailboat racing on Sunday mornings so I will have to miss out. If you go you have to take some pictures.
