took out sunroof, now forgot how to get back in!

I have a 87 na took out the sunroof and it had been such a long time since I have done it I forgot how to put it back in!! It seems to me that the back levers won't go down far enough to get into the sunroof slider. It looks like the levers need to come all the way down so that they will slide into the sunroof slider and it doesn't.... Any ideas? Thanks!

Turn the key to position 1.... Hit the down button... The levers should retract and then you are good to go...

The adjusments may be off. There is an artical either here on Pelican or at Clarks garage on the subject. Ill try to locate the link for you. You can close it manually at the sunroof motor in the cargo area (drivers side).

I think also if you start the car and "tilt" the sunroof, it'll "close" then "tilt."

Actually I think if you just start the engine it will lock into place. Unless something is wrong.
