do you have signal at the injectors? have you jumpered the dme to test the fuel pump function?

jdb design 06-26-2010 07:52 AM

no signal at injectors< yes about the fuel pump, getting fuel to the rail

make a three wire jumper and jump the fuel pump to see if it is working. it could also be the dme relay, do you have a spare? Quite frankly, I am having a similar problem, I ran some errands the other day, and at my last stop (Porsche dealer), the car refused to start...had it towed home.

DME was just rebuilt (THAT is not the problem), checked the fuses, checked the relay, everything on the "won't start" checklist has been checked and still no start...now thinking it may be a faulty harness.

Also, one other thing to check..get under the car and have someone rotate the engine (slowly) and make sure the pins for the reference and speed sensors are still in the flywheel...I had one fall a few cars ago.
Good Luck, and keep me posted....I'll do the same for you.

hey thanks for the info will try those things, will keep you posted

just checked with my mechanic, he said that the pins are good, leading toward wiring harness problem
