My 944 s2 has H4 Hellas with option M605 - vertical headlight adjustment. I need to change the headlights. The headlights use 3 round tubular plastic clips to attach the headlight to the retaining frame (two capture the adjusting screws and one captures the motor that provides vertical adjustment by tilting the retaining frame - all have a ball type head).
I got the old clips out (they break easily ![]() ![]() These clips are fragile and a six pack costs $28 Canadian so I'd rather not experiment and get it wrong. Anybody had experience with these? |

Here is what worked... Put the articulate piece into the headlight tabs and then force them over the ball ends on the adjusting screws. Tried the other way but it seemed unlikely that the articulate would compress around the ball head enough to allow the headlight tab over. Also the very small tabs on the articulate that lock the headlight tab didn't look like they would survive the headlight being forced over them with the ball head adjusters in place.
Took a lot of pressure and had to "back up" the headlight frame (plastic) to avoid breakage. |
