solved running light problem
well after scratching my head for 2 weeks . i found the hot lead at the light switch which powers the running lights only had 11.5 volts comming from it. i bypassed it with a good hot lead from the battery,12.75 volts, and man , it lit up like a xmas tree. the light switch wireing is looped with other relays. voltage drop freaks out the relays and runs them hotter{more amp draw} and burns them out. so i thought i'd pass this on to the next guy.
