My 87 924S

This car was bought by my ex GF while we were still dating in summer of 07 with 70k miles. I fell in love with the driveability of the car right away, the handling, brakes, smell, just overall character. She daily drove the piss out of it and dented the front all up once, but i maintained it fairly well. in summer of 09, it broke down with an intermittent no start issue. We broke up pretty soon after this, and the car sat in her yard for a year. 2 or 3 weeks ago, she finally called me up and said to come pick it up! for free!! very exciting for me to say the least. It has 86k miles now, It needs tires, all 4 brakes(rusttt) and a few electrical fixes. Here are some pictures:

poor car

yup on the jersey shore with all the idiots. That sounds nice i heard there are some good winding back roads up there. the car still needs a good bit of work though, half of it just because it sat for so long uncovered

If you have not figured out the starting problem ,it is most likely the DME relay (under the dash and above the fuses.Just tap it as you are turning the engine over and it should start.

That or the speed and reference sensors. See if the tachometer bounces slightly when it cranks over. If not try wiggling the wires (gently so as not to brake tine insulation) and see if it starts.

Great score!!!!!

At least one was a keeper
