Another 84 944 no start

If the temperature outside is hot and the car is hot inside after sitting in the sun for to long it will not start, the tach will not bounce either. Once the temperature cools down inside the tach will bounce and will start. After long drives it will do the same thing, it has to sit and cool down a while before it will start again. Is this a referance sensor causing this? or is there something inside that causes it.

isn't no start when hot a classic fuel pump/DME relay problem?..oops except i missed that the tach is not working either. I have a slightly different problem..mine won't start cold, i just tried the DME relay jumper test and it still doesn't start..so i'm trying to figure out what else to go at next..
