944 parts for my project

As you all know, my 944 has been immobile since late August... well, the "Fusco Project 944" is finally gaining momentum, as I have located a suitable repairer of my car and am currently pricing parts for the car.

what I am looking for are prices on the following major items:
RIGHT FRONT FENDER
HOOD
RADIATOR
FRONT BUMPER
FRONT SPOILER/SPLITTER
RIGHT FRONT TURN SIGNALS

I have already received quotes from dcAutomotive (very good prices) and 944ecology. A few sellers on eBay also have good prices. I have contacted PartsHeaven, but they haven't replied as of yet.

Any help that you guys could give in this would be hugely appreciated, and any leads you could give me would be great.

Thanks!
-CJ

C J,

I think the problem is that you have already shopped for prices and therefore know how much parts are. There are so many people out there checking on prices which do not turn out to be
buyers that sellers don't respond to enquiries.

I can see that you are not a time-waster and are genuinely
buying parts, but a lot of the time sellers respond to enquiries and never hear anything again.

So it coms down to this; if you hae prices already, this is how much the parts are and buy them from the supplier you can trust most.

I have noticed that prices vary widely on the majority of used parts. After a short search, I settled with someone who had everything that I needed and we worked out a price that we were both comfortable with.

You decide what you want to pay. If you know someone has the parts, make an offer, and many of them will take the price (as long as you are reasonable.) No one wants to have parts on the shelf longer than needed, and we all want cash in pocket.

I can give you a quote on those parts. Send me an e-mail and we can talk about what you need and where you are located... for shipping.

Question Prices

how about $630 for everything but the spoiler/splitter. Plus ship.

$630 includes
Right front fender
Hood
Radiator
Front bumper
Right front turn signal

Is that reasonable. How does that compair to what you found? These are off a 944 with blown motor.

Thanks for the responses, and I appologise for the lateness of my response. I have had unreconcilable internet problems.

The 944 STILL isn't fixed, but is getting closer! I may have found a 944 donor car. It is an 84 model that the owner decided to take off the road and make into a racer. He got as far as stripping the interior before abandoning the project, and the exterior panels are as-new. The engine was replaced with a European model. The suspension and wheels/tires had been upgraded. He wants $1000 for the whole package, but i am going to see if i can talk him down to $800.

My mechanic offered to buy whatever i don't use off of me, so i am going to see of this offer still stands... besides, if this goes through, I may have a new set of wheels and rubber and a new suspension along with the panels i need.

If this doesn't happen, I may be interested in Eturbo924's offer. Does the offer still stand? The wheels are in motion, and I should have a definite plan by new year's.

Talking parts

I have all the parts you need except the fender. I am about 3 hours from Boston and could deliver the parts. Make me an offer. The radiater was just rebuilt!

Well, I think I may buy the parts car, but i may still be in the market for a front spoiler, as this one is most likely "divoted" like most 944 splitters. I can't wait to go look at it, owning a second 944 - even if it is only a donor car and i will be selling what i dont use - is an exciting proposition for me. I will keep you posted, however... the wheels are in motion, and I should have a definite plan by new year's.

Sorry was on vacation

Yes offer still valid. Let me know what you will need after you get your parts car and I will see what I can provide. Since you are in my area there will be no shipping if you pick the part up.

Eric
