ATE Valve ID's???

I got some ATE engine valves, in a box of stuff, that I haven't had any luck identifying, hopefully someone out there can help me!

ATE 3323 (has 33mm head and 9mm stem)
ATE 3952 (has 35mm head and 9mm stem)

They look very different to my 912 valves so maybe they're water-cooled?
Cheers for any help you can provide!

Hi Kelvin,

How long are the valves & what kind of grooves do they have for the keepers?

Hi Drew1
ATE3323 33mm head, 9mm stem, approx 137mm long, 1 keeper groove.
I searched the Porsche parts sites and found 944S/S2 '87-'91, 928 S4/GT/GTS '87 on and 968 '92 on have 33mm inlet and exhaust valves so I'm closer! Anyone got a stripped down motor they can look at the valves for me?

ATE 3952 35mm head, 9mm stem, approx 112mm long, 3 keeper grooves.
On the box is written 944 Turbo 1986-90 but didn't they have 45mm inlet and 40mm exhaust? I'm getting more stuck!!:(
A search found 928 1985-86 has 35mm inlets.
Am I getting there???

Sounds like you're getting there. I'm going to try to find some valve info that I got from SI industries a while back & see what it says.

Kelvin,

SI Industries catalog lists 924NA exhaust valve at 33mm head diameter & 137 long. From memory these are 9mm diameter stem with 1 groove. For assurance see if we can get Obin Robinson to verify. He is good with the 924.

The catalog lists 911 from 64 to 68 with 2.0 l for 35 mm head diameter & 112 length. Haven't tore into a 911 2.0 l, but from memory later ones 2.4 & 2.7 are multigroove keeper with about 9mm diameter. The boys on 911 board can verify.

Hope I was some help.

Drew you're a saviour!!

ATE 3952 is a 911 Exhaust valve! A search of my Stoddards catalog shows the second digit can either be "0" or "9"- no difference. Well done Drew!

I don't know too much about 924s so what is a 924NA? I've never heard of it? Two or four valves per cylinder? What years?
Nearly sorted!

By 924NA, I meant normally aspired. With my spelling NA is simpler. It is 2 valve Audi motor.
