944 reference sensor connector

I just picked up a non-running 1984 944. I figured out the problem is a broken wire at the reference sensor connector and I was wondering if anybody knows where to get a replacement other than from a busted sensor. I don't really want to pull the sensor because I've seen plenty of horror stories with getting them out. I'd much rather just put a new connector on the end of it. I didn't see any shielding, so I would imagine a used one soldered on would work just fine, too.

After searching here a bit more, the answer jumped out at me in the form of This post. It would appear The connectors are available here.

Did you check the sensor resistance per Clarks?

I didn't, but I temporarily reconnected the broken wire and it started right up. I just need to redo that connector permanently. I've found a couple places that have the AMP connectors for quite a bit less than even the BMW cross-reference part for that.
