[QUOTE=smokin_944;5509051]Finally I have a good reason for living in the ice capital of Canada... Those spiders are waaay too dangerous for me!
LOL no spiders up there in Manitoba but you forgot to tell them about those that will rip you apart with one swing of their paws even thougth they sometime can be very playful I bet those guy wouldn't trade all their hobo & whatever spiders for one of them. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282056408.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1282056537.jpg |

Or if they mated.

Speakin of bears, I almost hit one on my way to Thompson Manitoba(the Great White North) on the 17th. It was only a 500 lb or so Black bear but it wouldn't get out of my lane and I got worried cause its only a 2 lane highway. Ran into some fishermen from Minnesota up there hookin the big Walleyes. It was 0 degrees Wednesday morning... Holy crap!!

Bear Brakes?

Bear Skin seat covers are warm up there in the Winter

Bear meat tastes bad though thats why you don't see them in grocery stores.
If it was "only 500 or so" it wasn't a black bear. 500 is the very high end of normal. Most of the ones dumb enough to walk in the road around here are 250-300 lbs. The largest ever recorded was 880 lbs a few miles from my house...so maybe the big ones just hide better. |
I personally invite you to my wild kingdom of bears in Northern Manitoba and I can assure you that a Black that size is not uncommon here. The COs (Conservation Officers) in the southern region have trapped some Blacks and Cinnamons even larger than that 80 miles from the city. I agree that they taste horrible but they make a great rug, lol...
