I probably would; at least I could see when something THAT large is coming after me as apposed to being taken by surprise by a tiny poisonous spider that can do major or life threatening damages :P

^^ Worst case scenario will be you, working under the car on jack stands, & that bear just flip the darn thing over to get at your tasty flesh. And while doing so dislodge a nest of hobo spiders witch will come crawling down your sweater neckline, while the bear is chewing on your legs http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gifhave a good nigth sleep & happy dreams.:)

If those bears learn how to open my garage door and those spiders can wear gas masks against my 10foggers then I'm royally screwed LOL

Or if they mated.

Speakin of bears, I almost hit one on my way to Thompson Manitoba(the Great White North) on the 17th. It was only a 500 lb or so Black bear but it wouldn't get out of my lane and I got worried cause its only a 2 lane highway. Ran into some fishermen from Minnesota up there hookin the big Walleyes. It was 0 degrees Wednesday morning... Holy crap!!

Bear Brakes?

Cocacolakidd 08-24-2010 07:50 AM

Bear Skin seat covers are warm up there in the Winter

Bear meat tastes bad though thats why you don't see them in grocery stores.

If it was "only 500 or so" it wasn't a black bear. 500 is the very high end of normal. Most of the ones dumb enough to walk in the road around here are 250-300 lbs. The largest ever recorded was 880 lbs a few miles from my house...so maybe the big ones just hide better.

I personally invite you to my wild kingdom of bears in Northern Manitoba and I can assure you that a Black that size is not uncommon here. The COs (Conservation Officers) in the southern region have trapped some Blacks and Cinnamons even larger than that 80 miles from the city. I agree that they taste horrible but they make a great rug, lol...
