Stoopid Q: LSD Interchange
![]() So, if I had a "low 5th" Audi based box from a 924S, and an LSD Audi box from a 951, could the LSD "pumpkin" be transferred to the other box?

And would the final drive ratio change or be the same?

Pardon me.. Not trying to steal this thread but I was of the impression that there were no "audi" parts in the 944? What other audi parts are in my car?

If you are planning on swapping the 924S ring gear on to the LSD unit from the 951, then, yes the ratio would be the same.

Yeah, in order to do it you would need to swap the ring gear from your open diff to your lsd diff. The gears are made as matched sets and since they have been running together for so long they will have worn into a pattern together.
