Picture of clutch pedal box?

Can some one take a digital picture of their clutch/brake pedal box for me? I need to see if there is some kind of physical stop for the clutch pedal. Looks like there is one missing from my 83 944.

Thanks I aprreciate any help.

Eric

There is a sheet metal bracket, but I think it is more for kicking on and off cruise than anything. I don't have a camera that is capable of taking macro shots... so I can't help you more than that.

Yup that is the section that I am talking about.
There seems to be an area for a switch or a stop. There is nothing mounted there in my 83.
I think my slave cylinder is going. My pedal will some times pop and then be high off the floor. Now it is just below the level of the brake pedal. There is no obvious leaking inside the car so ..... anyone seen this?

Bad slave or should there be a stop?

My 83 had the metal bracket that holds the clutch pedal down at a normal level broken off when I bought the car. My mechanic said short of welding a new piece in, there wasn't much he could do. With the metal missing it allowed the clutch to come out as far as the springs would let it, usually 6 or 8 inches above the break pedal. I found a simple effective method to fix this, not the recommended method granted but..... I took a heavy gauge wire tie (zip tie type) and put it around the pedal and metal frame (the part that stops the break pedal) and adjusted the length to allow the clutch to come out to its "normal" position and not all the way to the limit of the springs. Its worked now for over 6 months and no welding inside my car. its a daily driver and the clutch gets ALOT of use and the tie seems to be holding fine.

Thanks

Thanks I appreciate the information.
I was thinking about fabricating some kind of stop that I could bolt into place. Nice idea with the zip tie though.
