euro 944's
I have an 84 n/a and I was just wondering if anybody knows why the euro version of the same car produces more horse power

Far from an expert on the subject, but I thought that the euro versions simply bumped up the compression ratio. Don't have any idea how they achieved it (piston face, stroke, etc.) though.

84 944 Euro comp ratio 10.6:1 163hp
84 944 US/Japan comp ratio 9.5:1 150hp Most early 944 in Europe do not have catalyst. Also the DME was mapped differently.
