Is this a Joke?

I'm pretty 99% sure this is totally false. http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=81630971&dealer_id=&certified=n&max_price=&start_year=1988&end_year=1992&address=85021&search_type=used&make=POR&model=944&min_price=&distance=any&advcd_on=n&advanced=n&car_year=1989&ac_afflt=none

Or is it just me?

and on a side note..how much are good 944 S2's supposed to cost (i've seen them for 18-22+k!)

If it truely is a 620hp+ With some sort of twin turbo setup, then I might even consider that price! Sounds like fun!

I suspect that it's a single turbo 944 Turbo cup car. Then this would be the car the 944TurboS is based on. It was used for racing.

"Asarus" on this board has a 951 Cup car. See:
http://www.asarus.com/cup
for more information. According to his records, these cars had 290 hp.

Even if it's just a stock 951 cup, $25k isn't too bad. Sure would be fun to take one out on the track....

Yup. That's about right, according to my records.

For your reference: Excellence Magazine, Feb. 2001 issue:
1989 S2: $6923 (Poor) - $7872 (Good) - $10,538 (Excellent)
1990 S2: $8245 - $9375 - $12,550
1991 S2: $9223 - $10486 - $14038

But personally, I think $14K is a little high for a '91 S2.

But the S2 is such a wonderful car.

Hey Zman,
I printed out those S2 prices for my quest for my ultimate Porsche
Do you have the Excellence numbers for a 1978 to1982 911SC for comparison?

Scott:
I've got the books at home: I'll look up the values tonight and post them. So, I see the SCWDP has gotten to you.... (see 911 board)
