Filler tube broke off in engine! What next?
I was removing the filler tube to get access to the engine ground behind it. When I lifted it off I noticed a small black piece drop down inside the upper breather port (see pic2). By looking at the end of the tube (sorry for bad pic-need a new camera) it looks like it melted.

It goes to the oil pan. You've got trouble if pieces dropped down there.

Hard to tell from your picture, but that looks like crud built up inside the port. That port should just be an open hole into the air/oil separator.

Well, if you're lucky enough to have an oil level sensor on the oil pan, you could remove it and poke around with one of those little grabber things and a flashlight to get the pieces out. You do have a screen on the oil pickup, so it probably isn't the end of the world, but it would be worth trying to fish out the pieces. If they aren't trapped in the baffles, you may be able to get them out by just jacking up the drivers side of the car to tilt towards the oil pan drain and hope it comes out with the oil.
