Alarm question

If you bypass the alarm does the keyed switch on the outside of the car make a difference? I cut mine out when i gutted my interior (dont ask me why) and my alarm seems to be going haywire.

Do you mean that you cut out the microswitches on the door locks ?

If so then yes this is why the alarm is going off (I assume that it is similar to the 964 alarm).
It looks at the signal from the door lock switches to know if you unlocked it or not ! If you drive off without having unlocked the doors first then you're probably a thief...

Not the door lock switches the keyed on/off switch thats located in the driverside body panel right next to the door.
