Door Seal

I have a new door seal from Pelican to install driver side. Do I just rip the old one off and push the new one in or is there more to it? Also, why is the replacement seal grey? Not dark black like OEM.

The seal that's on the door or body? Does the seal have a powder like stuff on it making it look grey, or is grey rubber?

The big $97~ door seal, not the interior body one (which I might need a new one but can't find a part number oddly) I was thinking maybe it has some coating to make it grey. It does feel a little powdery. It also has some black spots where the pieces are glued together. But my seal is old, hard and breaking a little so I went and got a new one from Pelican. Just not sure if you need an adhesive for install.

Scrub it in warm water and a mild soap. You do need an adhesive to install it.

You can get it at Auto Zone, etc. It's 3M plastic and emblem auto trim seal and adhesive. I believe it comes in black and a yellowish color and clear. I used the clear.
