A few questions...
First Question: Can the front bumper of a 944 Turbo fit onto a non turbo 944?
Second Question, and this may be somewhat of a dumb one? I have a manual tranny on a 85/1 944, however the damper plate is SHOT (emphasis on the shot... I have a friend with a donor 85/1 standard who is willing to "give" me the entire drive train for nothing. Can the flex plate be swapped out for the standard clutch assembly or would I be better off swapping the whole thing out for the standard? |

quote "I have a manual tranny on a 85/1 944, however the damper plate is SHOT" Shouldn"t this be I have an automatic tranny on a 85/1 944, however the damper plate is shot." Or by damper plate do you mean clutch disc? Anyway if I can guess what you mean, Yes it is possible to swap the friends clutch parts into your automatic bell housing. In this swap you keep the automatic trasmission and instead of a rubber flex damper you will have a clutch disc. OR maybe explained better. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1286288105.jpg John |

[QUOTE=oldvolks;5597727]First Question: Can the front bumper of a 944 Turbo fit onto a non turbo 944._______________No the 951 will not bolts up to an N/A, fenders are different, you will need the headligths covers/header panel/front bumper supports/shocks bumper ect.Combined lens if not included are scary expensive,so unless you find a complete front end including fenders & ligths from somebody parting a 951 or S2 at a very low price witch I doubt, it will make an awfull big hole in your wallet money wise.Other less expensive options open to you will be shave front bumper- euro bumper or 924GT front clips.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1286301301.jpg you would need this plus the lligths to convert from N/A toTurbo.:) |
