Anyone see the antenna cable plugged into the stereo?
I dont know about others cars but the "S" has the antenna in the winshield of the car. Well, along with the antenna cable is a little black wire with a plastic connector on the end. When I found it, it had a red power cable hooked to it. The guy that owned the car before me had alot of **** hooked to the car that I had ripped out. I dont know if that was him or its like a power antenna with like GAIN or somthing? Anyone know what im talking about? I did notice that the signal is ****tier I think? I just dont want it hooked up if it doesnt belong. Thanks

yeah the little black wire hooks to 12v, normally to the Blue wire coming out of the Blau radio which is normally the wire that is labeled a power power antenna wire. No power antenna on our cars but that gives power to the antenna booster when the radio is turned on and you should have a good signal then. I went thru this when my radio installer thought it was a grond and had no signal so I fixed it myself thanks to a post on this site that gave me this same info.
I believe all 85.5 and newer 944's have the windshield antenna, my 86 NA944 and 86 951 both do. |
