sputtering and dies.

For the 951. She probably has 200k miles by now. Everything stock. went to school today, and about a hour ago try to drive her home and it would sputter at 1k rpm and die. I'm thinking outta gas. So filled up my little gas can to no avail. I was able to drive it home by fluttering the gas pedal, but as soon as i would let off it would just sputter and die.. ha I'm thinking fuel problem... maybe fuel filter, fuel pump, FPR???

Try your spare DME/fuel pump relay or do the 3 wire jumper per Clarks.

You may have guessed it. It could be the FPR.
A simple test is to pull the vacuum hose and see if any gas drips. If it does replace the FPR. If you can, do a fuel pressure test.

Your car has been running so it could just be a simple fix.

The reference sensor connection at the top rear of the engine. Check the wires and the plastic connectors for cracks. Clean the wire connections.

Clean the battery cables on top of the battery. Use a battery bush on the battery and cable ends.

Check the big negative ground on the bell housing. Cover the TDC hole with tape--do not drop a bolt in the clutch.

Porsche bulletin says to clean all engine harness connections on top of the engine. Especially the AFM

Yes it could be the fuel filter. Pelican says to replace after 6000 miles.

Unplug the O2 sensor. If the problem continues you can elimate the O2 sensor.

Clean the starter battery cable connections.

Last, check the vacuum hoses.
