Needed: speaker grille for passenger door tweeter ('89 NA)
I'm posting to see if anyone can help me find a replacement speaker grille for my '89 NA 944. It's for the small tweeter in the passenger door. It's missing--probably fell out of the car when I opened the door. This is an NA car, but I know that I've seen these door-tweeters in 951's with the 10-speaker package.
I could also use the tweeter itself. The speaker functions fine but the mounting brackets, which seem to be part of the tweeter itself are cracked/broken and I would replace that also if someone has the whole assembly. The speaker itself is still available from Porsche, but the grilles are NLA, so I'm hoping I can locate one somewhere. TIA. I have a 10 speaker option Grille in presentable condition - the black cloth material is very spotty and should be replaced, the rest of the grille is good to go. I also have the tweeter but the outer circle of the mounting holes are broken as the same as in your picture - all for $35.00 shipped to lower 48.
