alloy Wishbone difference 944 86?

Hello,

I am building an 86 944 n/a and have come to the brakes. I have purchased a set of brembos from a later offset abs car and wish to keep the 23mm offset.

I have not yet seen them (not arrived yet) but i have the complete hubs/calipers ect - a ready to bolt on set up.
Now i know on the rear the offset change is in the hubs and discs - so i need a set of 86 turbo rear discs.

But.. on the front i have 86 turbo front legs to fit the s2 set up, and i have converted it to steel lower arms.

My question is - will the front offset still be 23? Im told the 52mm offset is done with longer lower arms and different top mounts rather than wider hubs?
And will the camber on later hubs be different due to this?

Please help, i have split rim wheels with spacers and have got the general stance perfect so i dont want to change spacers ect.

I have a complete set-up of the Brembos on my 85.5, and I have the 23mm offset - I used the 85.5na lower arms, 86 turbo spindles, 86 turbo hubs, 86 turbo rotors (Cross drilled), and 87 turbo Brembo Calipers - all fit as bolt on. I like the 87 Brembo Calipers better because the pistons are slightly larger than the 86 model. I think that all of the Brembo Calipers have the same bolt/mounting pattern. The difference in the 87 and up later offset was in the control arms and spindles. The later offset was gained in the control arms and spindles with the rims being deeper to re-center the rims/tires under the car.

Its all bolt on, but neg camber will need to be dialled in. Conversley (spellcheck) if you attempt to use 87 wishbones/topmounts with 86 struts and hub/spindles you end up with ridiculous neg. camber...to the point of wondering whether camber plates could correct it...

My own project, basically 86' Turbo spec with S2 HUBS'N'SPINDLES had difficulty achieving neg cam. A chopping of the springs by maybe 30-40 mill got me more neg but noticable understeer was still present. I have since gone 86 23mm offset but have yet to roadtest anything. Could be other factors contributing to this "pushin ahead" feeling? Running 25.5 bars with cheapo monroe shocks and just 16mm roll bar...this should be quite soft so maybe contributing to a loose front end?
