944 Fuel Supply Line
Does anyone know how many hours the standard labor is for removing/installing the fuel supply line on a 944?
I have called my local Porshce shop and they don't have a listing for it in their guide. Does anyone know someone how has had it replaced before? Thanks Patrick |

Hate to see this thread go unanswered, as the fuel lines on my car drove me nuts for awhile and still have me worried about leaks If you're talking about the rubber hoses in the engine compartment, I would say 1/2 hour is all you need to remove and replace the fuel supply line IF you use a Dremo tool or the sort to remove the two crimps - one on the compression fitting to the fuel damper and the other one to the hard metal line that is down by the wheelwell. If you use a hack saw to remove the latter crimp, then it could take hours! That's what I used b/c my car is parked in a lot and I was afraid the sparks would blow the car up! I then used a Dremo tool to remove the crip on the compression fitting - took about 5 minutes. And what do you plan to replace the hose with? I heard some shops don't carry the crimping tool needed if you go with the original fuel lines. I used Speed Force Racing's lines. So far so good! good luck, sm
