1983 944 v8 conversion - seeking advice and parts offers

Car will mainly be a daily driver and mean street machine
overall looking to:

1) upgrade brakes - to turbo S vs Wilwood vs BigRed
2) install ABS
3) replace and update interior (since SBC, etc, wouldnt an idea be custom dash?) instead of old 944 style
4) replace interior, black or brown leather
5) upgrade transmission - has stock NA trans currently
6) Possibly install a body kit (such as rear hatch replacement)
7) maybe even retrofit dual airbag from say a turbo s?
8) well after rest done and new trans in, twin turbo charge with mild boost
9) also changing the front lights.. prior owner put those on, I recently acquired the vehicle

- for transmission was thinking rebuilt turbo transmission with a quaife LSD

- For brakes: advantage of going with turbo S M030 now would be 1) new offset 2) good brakes 3) can have abs apparatus in them
but downsides would include 1) cost of spindles/hubs/new wheels etc 2) Wilwood only 750 and bolt right on. If going to new offset and spindles/hubs/could be time to consider big reds too but expensive and seem overkill as this will mainly be daily driver. Would like more than the stock NA brakes though.

- for adding ABS, thinking I need
abs unit
abs electrics
wheel hubs
wheel sensors
mounting bracket/ wirings

For SRS airbag (driver and passenger) thinking might be more extensive but if getting custom dash, this can be worked into things? any advice here?

twin-turbo charging it ... may not be worth it

make sure your new gear box has LSD ... either a 951 or S2 ... or maybe even a 968 box

I'd keep the dash, love mine

what kind of hood is that?

one of my 944s is a v8 swap . becouse i only race it i have many trans i use for it as i do with most of the other 944s i have and only race . i change the trans out as to gear the car to the track i'm running at . if your only looking for one trans to run in your car i would pick the 016R AOR trans . allot of the 944 turbos from 1989 to 1991 use them . but not all of them from what i have found so check the # on the trans . to speed up the trans swaps i remover the spare tire well . becouse i like the 1st v8 944 i did so much i'm building an other one now too . becouse of the class i race the car in i have to use the stock 15 inch wheels . i installed the 944 NA big brake kit from rennbay with dual masters and in cockpit bias ajuster . most of my 944 race cars i do the same thing to when it comes to braking . for the v8 (948) i'm building now i have a set of 928 GTS brakes from a totaled GTS i have and i most likely be installing that brake set up on the 948 . i'm not saying that the wilwoods are the greatest things ! but cost to what you get for braking they are good . and if you have to rerain the stock wheel size of 15 inch there are not many other options .
