the one you listed is for pre 85.5
Thanks, but the one I am searching for is inside the central control assy ... the right side knob (electrical part). I attempted to use a off the shelf radio shack 10k linear pot but it is physically too big to fit without grounding inside on the illumination lamps (Ugggh) Last edited by pinball_0; 11-20-2009 at 07:14 AM.. |

![]() Quality 10K pots are available at mouser.com - no minimum order I've used Alpha brand with good success although not in automotive applications. PCB and solder tab, linear and log, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm. Not sure how small you need. Also these I'm linking to are typically only about a 1/4 watt, not sure how much voltage/current we are working with here. http://www.mouser.com/catalog/640/usd/693.pdf http://www.mouser.com/catalog/640/usd/692.pdf http://www.mouser.com/catalog/640/usd/691.pdf Other quality brands like Alps, Bourns, etc. would be fine too. If you order, you may want to order a couple options and see what works best in your application.

G'day pinball-0, hope you are still active on this forum/site. If anyone out there has advice/suggestions for me also greatly appreciated. In a nut shell my air con/fan is intermittent, I have traced the problem to a cracked base in the fan speed Ruwido 10k pot, if I press on the fan speed knob firmly the little orange lights on the AC & air circulation switches light up & the fan works---then I drive over an uneven road surface (or hit a bloody kangaroo) & its game over--shut down until it is jolted on again whenever it decides. I am pretty sure this is a relatively inexpensive part, only problem is---where can i get the little sucker? Thnx in advance.
