944S Rear seat back
Alright, I'm attempting to re-install the one-piece rear seat back in my 87S. I removed it a solid 5 years ago and now don't have the foggiest idea how to put it back. There are two holes on the little metal mounting plates on either side of the piece, that would indicate a bolt would lock it down. But alas, I see know receiving holes between the lower seat portion and the side of the car. Anyone have any insight on this? I'm feeling rather defeated!

Are the holes you refer to for the seat belt bolts? I know that you have to use 3M Spray Glue to the back side of the lower seat and the car side and press them together. Sand bags work great to put pressure on the sets to help the glue fasten the seat and car body together.
Cheers, Larry

It's not the bottom part of the seats, it's the top (the bit that lays up and down). The holes are on the bottom ends of that bottom piece and appear to fit somewhere in between the bottom seats and and the side of the car. But, I don't see anywhere on the car where they would mount.

It mounts with a couple of shoulder bolts. They are kind of small, but there should be bolt holes somewhere behind the carpet.

look lower. they're buried. I replaced mine, figuring it would be an easy time, and it took me two hours of swearing.
