Anyone know the size of the rear shock nut?

Hi Pelicans,

Changed one rear shock today, but when taking the other side out the nut from the top mounting point dropped and rolled somewhere I can't see it.

Anyone know off hand what size it is (not that it's 19mm head, whether it's M10 etc).

Can't seem to see it on here, and don't want to take the bolt out now as I've got that side jacked up to sort the parking brake.

Thanks
Mike

why not measure the nut on the other side? Or ring Porschapart tomorow-they will know the size and will be able to supply in all likelihood.

M12x1.5

Make sure you use a locking or nylock.

Thanks Technoduck, really helpful.

I don't know what PET is, and thought if someone knew the size it'd be easier than taking the other shock off the car again.

Petrolhead - you should have a look at some of the other Porsche breakers in the UK - Porschapart are pricey (just got a spindle from only9, who were charging less than half what Porschapart wanted).

PET is the Porsche electronic parts catalog, downloadable for free from Porsche. It is VERY useful is figuring out fastener issues, among many other things.
