Porsche Crest grind grind grind... whats that smell?

started my car after school, and heard a grinding noise and had a smell of burning... then i looked back and noticed that it was my rear windshield wiper, but the wiper wasn't moving? (the thing has never worked since i got the car). so why did it work all of the sudden?

oh, the switch was in the "on" position, and when i switched it to "off", it stoped.

You have a short and the gears are stripped. There are past posts on here about how to take the wiper control box apart to repair it.

Cheers,
Larry
