Battery cable help

Over the winter I had new cables made up. Similar to the ones in the picture. Need some help on what goes to the starter & alternator though. Does it make a difference? I know the other 2 ends go between the starter alternator, but dont know which goes to which. Does it make a difference?

I know the following:
Blue circle is for ground
Green circle is from battery positive to starter
White connector connects at the firewall

Does the wire from the white connector go to the starter or the alternator???? Dont want to risk frying anything.

This is the last thing I need to do before cranking over the car from a complete rebuild.

Thanks all

The yellow box is for the alternaor wiring. Big end = big stud on back of alt. Little end = little stud on back of alt.

Ok. This might help more. This is a picture of the white connector that goes to the alternator and starter and connects up at the firewall, above the brake booster.

Which wire goes to the starter and which one goes to the alternator? If I know that then I will know which on the other end goes to what.

i'm still lost...i see the two grounds from the battery ( one to chassis, one to the back of engine ). i see the one that goes to starter motor. is there another copper end that connects to the starter ? then...from the starter to the back of altenator? to put it another way, are there three wires that connect to starter?

Yellow box, big lug connects to the main positive bolt on the starter along with the lug from the battery positive. The small red wire connects to the solenoid coil.
Purple box, large lug to alternator output, small blue wire to the small exciter lug.

The alternator reaches the battery down through the starter lug and back up through the main battery start wire.
Green is positive and blue is ground.
