Is there any Pollution control that can be removed from my 924

I have a 1981 924 speed, Is there any Pollution control or smog on my car to add a lil more pep to it?

If the catalytic converter is getting clogged, removing it would help.

+1 on cat. And cutting, drilling, or blowing (M-80 on the end of a coat hanger wire) out the baffle in the muffler would likely get you a bit more. But more importantly (in my opinion), it will unleash the authoritative and satisfying growl that the 924 engine is capable of producing, if "allowed" to. It will not raise the overall noise level all that much.

You might also gain a slight amount by using a K&N air filter. But there is really not much else (probably nothing), in the way of emission control stuff on the car that can be removed to obtain more power.

Your easiest path to more pep is weight removal. . .rule of thumb is 100 lbs = 10 hp.

Removing all AC gear, rear seat, and installing manual windows and lightweight front seats will get you quite a bit of weight savings. Some folks say the beefier 944 exhaust system frees up the backpressure quite a bit, too.

Also, it's important to make sure your fuel system is working properly. . .
