944S Part location question- have pics

Last year I disassembled a lot of parts off my 1988 944S and I can not seem to find out where this part goes on my car! I believe its a heat shield. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks

Shield for exhaust pipe.

I believe there is a heat-shield on the passenger side near the lower control arm. Where the secondary pipe feeds the Catalytic A pipe.

If you need a pic, PM Me.:)

Later.

Sorry, don't recognize it. Its way prettier than any heat shield on my S to look familiar.

you would think I'd remember something like that on my car, but I don't...wtf?

Ya, passenger side, but not down by the control arm. It shields the oil cooler housing from the header. That 90degree bracket in the lower photo bolts to the cooler housing. The M6 stud towards the front, that bends around the header and bolts to the 'water return' bracket near the thermal-vacuum valve. So it it shields that vacuum valve as well. The two holes in the middle of it get M6 to hold it all together.
Can be PITA to R/R in the car, easier to install with the engine still out.

ok NOW I remember fighting with it!

Haha, ya, everyone remembers a good fight

Its not the oil cooler heat shield

The oil cooler heat shield is not a two piece part. I already have that part bolted on.

Maybe you had an extra 8V one laying around that you put in it's place?

I looked into the engine bay of mine this morning and could not really see any part that looks like that. That said, it does look like there is a shield that mounts in the area of the control arm on the driver side of the car.
