Can someone tell me how to drain the engine block without.....

using the the engine block drain plug. I was told that it was a pain in the ass. I have to drain the coolant from my engine block. I get like all kinds of different ways to do it, I'm new at this so can you like explain your method, thanks:D

Hi Bro to drain the block look on the right hand side of the engine near or under the #3/4 exhaust manifolds, you will find a 13mm bolt unscrew it this will let the block drain out then replace it put some thread sealer on tho ...You have to look very carefully for this you will need a lite........Stan

You might want to try draining it a different way (I drain mine through the thermostat) That bolt is a PITA to get to, and a bigger PITA to get back in AND have it seal properly.

Hi if you use your thermostate then your not going to have the ability to flush out the debris from the block, the bolt in the back of the engine lets the block drain more completly than the waterpump will, as for it being a pain it is but i think it is harder to remove the C clip from your thermostate to drain the block...any good teflon thread sealant will work, dont use Locktite incase you want to remove the bolt again...Stan
