ruff idle when cold

my 85.5 has been running really ruff only when it is cold. has anyone had this and what did you do.The car runs fine as sone as it warms up.

same problem here (same car) waiting to replace AFM to see if it will be better ...but also i think that until it will warm up ,not all 4 injectors are firing ...check that to see...

find the O2 sensor and disconnect it and see if it stops, if it does than replace it. If not then...This is a fairly heavy topic on here. I also suggest a Google search, it seems to produce better results than the search function in here. Good luck and let us know what you find. I occasionally get the oscillating idle but never bothered to track it down.

check the Idle Air Control Valve, it's probably stuck.

Hello, Check out the link below for a No Start Check List as it lays out pretty much what to check. It might help out with your problem. The AFM Wiper Arm may need to be adjusted to run in another track.

Could be the DME temp sensor. If I'm correct, it sends a signal to the computer to richen the fuel mixture until the car warms up. If it is not working correctly, it would not send the richen signal and could cause a rough idle. Cheap part to fix.
