Exterior Door Handle Source
does anyone know of a source to aquire a more heavy duty exterior door handle linkage. both doors in my 83 and now ridiculously hard to open and attempting to repair one side ended up breaking it. im hoping theres a VW version or mercedes that is not made of the cheap pewter type crap these were made of. maybe some stamped aluminum or steel. thanks in advance

is the piece that ian makes the inner piece that actuates downwards to unlatch the door. im talking about the one that has the small plastic piece that screws down to adjust the handle lever play. looks like a bent metal rod with cheap metal that pivots to move the lever action into up down action.

No its a full door handle swap. Just with a fix to make the 944 linkage hook up properly.
