Porsche 924 gauge cluster pigtail

Hi!

Does anyone have a diagram of what connects to what in the Porsche 924 instrument gauge? And/or what # powers what?

I have the pigtail that plugs into the back of the gauge but I don't which hooks up to what.

Borrowing PunchTheFish's picture:

Thanks!

Only one plug goes on there, and it only goes on one way. Line up the half-moon notch on the inside of the plug to the half-moon hole on the back of the Gauge...

I got you, but I still have to figure out what those wires coming out of the plug connect to.

OK - Now I understand. All of those wires coming out of the plug are color coded, so if the other end of them are close re-attach them to the same wire there. If this is not easly done then you will need a wiring schematic for the car (Found in a Porsche work shop manual) to trace and re-wire the system. On the bottom of the Wiring Schematic there is always the code breaker for the German color scheme translated to English color. So start from the gauge and trace backwards to find the other end of the attachmrnt points.

I have only 944 schematics so I may not be of more help here...

It looks like the same gage from the early 944 and 924S. The colors may not match, though. I had to fix something with the charge light in mine and just tested between parts inside and the terminals to figure out what pin went to what.

Thanks! I got the fuel gauge and the signals working and will look into the wiring schematics of those models, for the others.
