S2 CLUTCH/TRANS whirling sound?
I have a whirling sound which I think is clutch related because I depress the clutch pedal and the sound stops. Its sporadic but has been increasing in frequency over the last couple weeks, although I first noticed it about 6 months ago. I'm thinking maybe new clutch but wondered if it might just be a bad throw-out bearing? It's been real cold around here so I'm sure that isn't helping things. The current clutch has about 80k on it. It's my everyday driver mostly freeway if you can call it that in NJ? But not to much local stop and go and a few DEs.
I guess if it is just the throw-out bearing a clutch with 80k on it might as well be replaced regardless of condition, right! Thanks! Rob
