924S Tow Dolly Question

I picked up a nice Tow Dolly and it works fvery well. My tow vehicle handles it easily, my 924S tracks straight and true, the wheels and car are held securely, everything is great…except… It somehow causes power steering fluid to leak…lots of it mostly on the driver’s side.

I thought perhaps it was because I did my first tow with the steering wheel in lock position. I tried a tow with the key in (battery disconnected) and steering wheel unlocked so back of the car could rotate easier. Same result. Leaked fluid. Fearing a blown seal/hose, or the like I filled up the fluid and drove it made some turns, all without a single drop of fluid falling. Any ideas?

Thanks,
M

Was the power steering reservoir empty?
Where on the drivers side of the car can the fluid be seen and what color is it.
Wipe every thing down, go for for a short ride and the look for leaks.

Hi, thanks for the pointed questions.

Was the power steering reservoir empty?
No there was still a little left in the bottom, but it was at the full mark before towing the first time. Then he second time I just left it low...and still had leaking.

Where on the drivers side of the car can the fluid be seen and what color is it.
I didn't have the car on a jack to see but the drips were inb the area of the left front of the oil pan. It was a dark redish color, and took a sample of the fluid in the resevoir and found it to be the same color. (I used the hi-tech finger dip method)

Wipe every thing down, go for for a short ride and the look for leaks.
I was taking it to a shop to have the torsion bars changed but will do that when I get it back. WHen I pulled it over to his shop through the parking lot, there were no leaks. I am wondering if the steering vent line is somehow blown, popped off?
