Sunroof

Anyone ever run into this? I have replaced every piece of hardware to the sunroof except the cable. The arms, gears, housing, hingest, microswitches, upholstered headliner, you name. Six weeks worth of returning this to a decent condition.

Everything works great until I try to raise the sunroof. The driver's side cable pulls away from the roof, preventing the arm next to it from raising, however the passenger's arm raises. If I hold the cable to the roof slightly, everything goes up perfectly. Anyone ever come across this?

I bypassed all the work you did and went straight to the manual sunroof. it was the best upgrade I have done to this car. It was $30 to do and it took an hour.

Any clue where I might find such hardware? I'm extremely close to doing the same thing.

Did you have to cut away at all on your sunroof liner?

I got my latches at Carquip. They had a bunch off of 924's. All I needed was the latches. I had to cut out a small amount of liner so the latches would close. It is a lot easier to remove the sunroof now.
