oil leak
my mech, say i might have an o ring going bad where the distrubter meets the engine.... is this a tough fix. i don't want to tear it apart and mess up the timing when i put it back... any input?
cruzin a 924s 2000 in the usa, only seen one so far |

a 924S 2000? what's that, engine size, value, weight???
If the camshaft front housing seal is leaking then you have to take the pulley off. If the mileage is up around 80K or more..probably the other seals are just about to go. You will need some special tools and the belt tension tool for this. Time for new timing and balance shaft belt, front seal kit and possibly rollers and water pump...check everything carefully before just repairing the obvious problem ..

thanks, i'll have my mech. check it out... correction ... 1988 924s.... only 2000 sold in the usa... i have only seen one in ojai ,ca,
better? |
