annoying dashboard lights

HI,
I've read the posts on dash lighting in post ' 85 944. However my problem is not among the discussed topics. With mine (a beautiful ' 86 944) two of the dash lights stopped working, sometimes one comes back on again. Had my mechanic (he's very good with the oily bits) take a look he pulled the dash apart, pushed the lights firmly back in, which helped for say two days. Now he suggest to completely replace the dash, which seems a bit of an exaggerated measure in my opinion. Any of you guys an idea how to solve this problem?

If one of the three main dash lights works, then there is an issue with the other two lamps, lamp sockets or the foil copper circuit. The three bulbs are the 3, 3 watt bulbs in the picture, follow this link:
