Wheel centre caps

Guys,

Looking for help.....

I have a 1989 944 Turbo and I was looking to return the wheel centre caps to original. A PO had put on painted crest caps on, which I don't think are original fitment.

I saw these ones.....

Pelican Parts - Product Information: 928-361-031-00-OEM

Pelican Parts - Product Information: 928-361-032-01-M260

The wheels are the anodised Design 90 type, as standard on this car.

Does anyone know what wheel caps are correct for these wheels??

Thanks,

Geoff.

they're metal, so they're the first ones.

Would I be right in saying that the "black" crested caps are plastic and they were for the telephone dial wheels?

It seems that the "plain" crested one are metal and they seem to be the ones applicable for my model, with the Design 90 wheels.....??

Cheers,

Geoff.

I went another route... I bought a set that was TRASHED!!! Then I scrubbed and scrubbed until there was only metal remaining.. I also had to pound down the edges with a hammer (someone removed them with a flat head screwdriver).

Those really look great and I understand how much work goes into something like that. I like to media blast with walnut shells at around 50p.s.i. This gives a flat matte finish and them you can polish out if wanted. Black fuch caps are my favorite to rework as after you media blast a good coat of thick black paint and they look like new.
