Latest addition to my 944 family

This one is a total nightmare it has been sitting in a barn for 5yrs. It has a melted wire harness and need belts and water pump done.....amongst many other things. I should part it out but I'm too determined yet..

I think you will need a bigger bundle of wire ties (bottom pic with white band).

Needs to be parted out and the past owners cursed.

Ha there's plenty more wire ties and wire tape trust me. I bought it from my best friend me and him replaced the DME harness to get it going when we were in high school but nothing interior wise worked. I bought it off him to try to save it.

Sun visors and clips rear carpet and pad shift boot and knob sunroof latches headliner or the trim that goes around the sunroof what ever you call it and the air flap that pops up when you take out the sunroof i think that's all who knows black in color

It's a shame so many people are parting these cars out.

How about converting it to a track/autocross car?

I absolutely hate seeing these cars parted out. I have saved 3 944's but this one is too far gone. The whole electrical system is shot. I just don't have the time or money to redo it how I want to.

I agree. Either do that yourself or sell it to someone who is willing to make it a track car.

I hate seeing these cars parted out unless it's been in an accident.

Well I pulled the head off to inspect the inside of the motor and to have the cam tower polished to sell it on. The internals are pristine with no wear what so ever. This car is to nice to part still so it's getting a full restore. I just can't force myself to part out a car I absolutely love

It's going to be painfully slow I think

I love these cars too much to part them out so I'm going to keep going at it. I have the head sent out being redone and cleaned and the cam tower is being polished as with the intake manifold. I just haven't got a clue where to begin.....again on the wiring.

I have one the same color. It was involved in a few hit and runs over the past few months. I may be parting it out soon. Im still driving it until i find another 944 replacement.
