cooling fan problem,need help!
 

Hello 944 people!

i need some help!
My cooling fans run in full power all the time whit key in run position.I disconect the thermostat plug on radiator but is the same.Try to see if is a short from the termostat plug to the central wiring with no result.
Try to change cooling fan relay with another one(used) but same simptoms.

Only if i don't engage the TF pin on relay G10 it stops and if i short the radiator termostat plug the fan work in "slow"power.

I have the classic 944 diagram but you can't see what bridge inside the relay.

If someone have this problem or know the issue please help,summer arrives and my is an everyday car!

There are two control inputs to the G10 relay that will cause the fans to run in high speed.
1. Cooling temp switch 102C contact
2. A/C refrigerant temp/pressure swtich at 14 bars cut in pressure.
Since the fans stopped running when you disconnected the TF terminal on the G10 relay, that disables both control inputs and the problem is somewhere else.

Find out what is causing the TF terminal in the G10 relay to short to ground. You may have to pull the G10 relay socket from the bottom of the fuse box and start tracking the TF terminal for accidental grounding. Try jiggling the relay while the fans are running, if it stops running, there is a loose connection in the socket.

Kristian, the A/C refrigerant switch will close if you turn on the a/c and the system has the right refrigerant charge. If it is closed but your a/c is off, the switch is shorted and bad.

i find the problem.

It was the A/C refrigerant temp/pressure swtich.I don't know what's bed but i put the plug out ad it's stop.I think is broken but maybe for years????
My A/C works normal-????

A/C pressure switch location
 

The pressure switch is located on the a/c receiver drier. It is the one with two seperate connector lugs on the switch lower on the drier down below the green switch. Raise up your left headlight and you'll see it easily.
