Early Vs Late doors?

Will late style Doors fit the early 944. I just need a shell so i can still use my early door panels and switches. Aside from the late style side mirror wiring being different is there any other issues.

Reason being my door hinges are are worn so the door sags and im able to wiggle it up and down. But the biggest issue the metal the the door stop attaches to on the door is broken so the door swings open and will hit the car next to me if i dont catch it.

I put late doors on my 83. No problems at all including power windows. I just unplugged the wiring harness from the power windows and switched them to the late style doors. The mirrors were not just a matter of switching wire harnesses so I just switched over my old mirrors on to the newer doors.

So the door panels and all were an ok fit. or did you put on both driver and passenger doors including the late style door panels on top of what you mentioned above?

I ended up keeping the late style door panels on my early car. they fit fine however the panels don't line up with the dash board and I didn't know what to do with the early style window switches in the late style door panel. I'm sure the old style door panel will work with the late style door.

I can ony speak for Euro models (and don't have PET at hand while writing this). No, the door cards from an early model 924/44 will not fit the later doors (85.5-). Sheet metal will need to be cut/pounded. I know this for a fact as I've tried it.
