A little customizing front and rear
It's been a long , cold winter up here at 8200', but the snow finally melted enough to get her out of the garage. The reflector panel that was in between the tail lights has been cracked and faded ever since I bought the car. I had an extra badge from a few years ago when I painted the car so I decided to see how it would look mounted on a freshly painted, formerly reflective panel. I think I like it.Then...
I was meandering around the auto parts store and they had these driving lights on sale for $20. It was no big deal to mount them under the front bumper and then I wired the switch into the center console. They really do add a lot of illumination when I'm driving back up the mountain road, keeping my eyes peeled for Bambi. Can't wait to take her on a little road trip in a couple of weeks. :)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302560492.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302560561.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302560641.jpg |
The way you did the rear center panel looks great - much better than an original lighted one...
Looking for more front lights ?? Where the fog/running lights are below the bumper replace them with the high beams from a 88 -89 Chevy or GMC pick-up Sealed Beam headlight. These are full head light bulbs and are the same size as the fogs and they add a lot of light... |
Or Bosch Clear lens Pilote, then you can ligth up the Bambi:D . Like the way you did the center rear, different for sure with what we usually see on a 944.I don't have anything against your front ligths set up except that they will focus the beam straight ahead instead than off the side where you need it the most, and being so close together will produce a real narrow beam. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302564601.jpg

Also got the leather cover from Wheelskins; looks a lot better than the butt-ugly stock center pad. I'm tempted to start messing with my fog lights now... |
