how to wire a horn?
Hi - I recently purchase a 1987 944 Turbo that is track ready. Problem is, I drive to the track and I need to pass NYS Inspection. There is not a working horn. Assuming all the necessary wiring is gone, how would I go about wiring a horn into my car?

You can use a remote horn button from your local auto parts store. Just follow the directions its really easy and as long as it's easy to reach from the drivers seat it will pass inspection.

Horn has 2 connections. (Even if you have to buy a cheapie horn from auto zone) one side will be hot all the time. Preferably fused.

And even a different way to wire it in could be to come off the Ignition Switch to the horn button, + switched terminal at ignition switch back side. Then run the power line from the button down to the horn + side. Then to ground the - side of the horn run a short line to a good metal ground at front.
