no spark, coil issue?
 

The car was running perfectly until I recently replaced the clutch, slave & master cyl & oil cooler gaskets... After assemblyit's not starting I've gone over everything and can't find my isssue.

Any ideas?? I've been at it for hours, Need some serious help.

the only thing I can think of is I switched the sensor and ref sensor. Could that be the issue?

possibly. switch the sensor plugs and give it another go. you won't hurt anything by doing this.

Possibly check earth strap as well.

We need more info. Do you have spark? Im sure one of these easy fixes will be the issue but if not tell us what's not happening.

Update? We like to know resolutions.

When i got my 88 924s which has the 944 motor it did not have spark either, here are all the things that could be wrong.

There are 2 crank sensors that are located near the fire wall center engine for the most part. Haynes manual will tell you where they are. It will also tell you there resistance, they can be checked quite simply with a multi meter. they often go bad and are a simple replacement.

The harnes may be bad but that sounds un likely if the car was running. The next part is the computer. This is where i had my issue. The coil takes a 12-24 volt square wave. if you have an oscilloscope, connect it to the 2 terminals on the coil and you should see a square wave. If you are getting a square wave then make sure it is a 12 volt square wave. If you are not getting one then you may have a computer issue. The coil is pulsed by a transistor connected to the ground of the coil. This transistor can go bad relatively easy. There are some places that rebuild the computers, ill see if i can find out where i had mine rebuilt.

if you are getting the proper square wave at the coil then it may be the coil, if you have a multimeter they can be tested. center to terminal should be about 10k ohms and terminal to terminal should be around 1 ohm
