m474 and m030 Konis
I found some height adjustable Konis, with out springs and removed from the assembly. It would appear they just slide in. Can I replace the 474 with the 030 inserts? I know the 474 is adjustable stiffness, and the 030 are height, but which is the better one for good street performance. I do have a extra set of standard struts to modify. I am pleased with the sports pack on the 87S, though I need need springs at least.

The front 474s have to come out to adjust stiffness. I think on the M030s they have the little dial on the top of the strut. With those, open the hood and give it a twist. Rears have to come out on both.

Weltmeister springs will fit on the 474s. They make different length and rate springs. Spacers too.

Yes, what about interchanging the inserts?
